• Universiti Malaya: Universiti Malaya is the highest ranking Malaysian institution. It is Malaysia’s oldest university, and was established in 1949, based on a merger of several existing colleges in neighboring Singapore. • Universiti Sains Malaysia: next to Kebangsaan is Universiti Sains Malaysia. It is also a public research university covering a broad subject spectrum; Universiti Sains Malaysia has its main campus in Georgetown on the island of Penang and two other campuses focusing on engineering and healthcare on the western and eastern sides of the Peninsular Malaysia. • Universiti Teknologi Malaysia: it is engineering and technology based public institution, which has two main campuses: one in federal capital Kuala Lumpur and another in Bahru. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in a range of specializations; most are within the engineering and technology fields, but there are also many other faculties which are dedicated to biosciences, science and medical engineering, human resources and management.
